Fokker E.III

In 1993 Proctor developed the Fokker EIII to join the museums scale line. The Fokker EIII kit is equipped as all museums scale kits are. Only selected wood is used. All ribs, main spars, longerons and bulkheads are ready to be assembled and require no additional work. The ribs are machined. The rib design with its weight saving cut outs is identical to the original. The undercarriage is already pre-assembled and silver soldered. Also the wood for the wing tips is already bent ready to be glued in place.

The engine cowling is made of aluminium and has already the Fokker’s EIII characteristic cut out to enable cooling of the engine in place. Thin aluminium sheeting for to cover the fwd. fuselage in the engine area forms part of the kit. Numerous accessories and a pair of scale wheels are completing this kit.

As usual with Proctor, one will find an excellent building instruction which is accompanied by many step by step photographs.

The steering of the ship along its longitudinal axes is like the original by twisting the wings ( this will add additional points in scale competitions).

With an equivalent set of photographs and the minor adjustments which will be always necessary to make the model match exactly the chosen original you will be able to score high at a scale competition.
